In the first announcement on climate change since leaving the EU, the British Government announced ambitious plans to reduce greenhouse gases at the fastest rate of any major economy in the world. This demonstrated the UK’s global position of leadership in tackling climate change and goes some distance towards the target of making the country net zero by 2050.
If the last 12 months have taught us anything, it’s that we’re an adaptable species that is very good at surviving existential threats.
But, it’s no secret that we need to minimise the chances of a global catastrophe in the form of climate change; and give ourselves a fighting chance of there being snow at Val d’Isère and Courchevel for years to come!
Burns & Webber have taken the first step to achieving net zero emissions becoming an officially carbon-assessed organisation.
As individuals and as a company we have a responsibility to do better, which is why our ‘Moving To A Better Future’ campaign is not only about making changes within our own company, but also educating and helping our clients on how to make changes in their own homes to help lower their carbon footprint.
